Bally's Wednesday 3/21 ~ Renew and Recharge for Spring

Spring is in the air... well, at least officially it is, regardless of what it looks and feels like outside.

For this Wednesday's class, we'll be focusing on our flexibility more so than we have in the past. This class will lengthen and open every part of our bodies through deep stretches and twists. New poses and modifications will be introduced, as well as a new breathing technique called kapalabhati pranayama (breath of fire), which induces internal cleansing and clearing out or air passages.

This class is all about renewing and recharging our bodies, minds, and spirits to prepare ourselves for the new season. If you've always wanted to introduce your friends or families to yoga, this would be a great class to do so. If you have any suggestions prior to class, please let me know!

I look forward to seeing you there... bring your energy and smiles!

BTW, I just realized that all along, I've been using May dates instead of March. ha ha - I'm jumping ahead already...

Ahhhh.... I feel so relaxed, renewed, rejuvenated, refreshed, re-(fill in the blank). Okay, so maybe you were expecting a really easy flowing class and it turned out to be a little more challenging than expected. It's not as challenging as normal classes, but I think tonight's class really brought home the cleansing and re-energizing effect.

Several poses involving opening shoulders and chest, back-bending, and hip-openers really made us appreciate resting poses, such as down dogs, childs, and savasana. I don't know about you, but any tension in my lower back has been relieved.

I was really excited to see a full house with 17 participants! It's really inspiring to see returning participants, so please offer up suggestions for upcoming classes feedback for previous practices, and anything on your mind. Tell me what you thought of tonight's class... and don't be shy!

As always, thank you so much for your positive energy, your smiles, and dedication to our practice each and every week. It's truly inspiring!
