Wednesday (5/30) ~ Finding Inner Balance

Majority of our classes lately have been focused on strength and flexibility, so I thought it would be great to bring back some balance in our practice. So this week's class will be focused on finding balance - standing balances, arm balances, etc.

As always, format of the class is generally the same. Since the mandala namaskars (sequence where your backs face me) were a big hit, I may keep that sequence going. I may change it up a little to incorporate some new things, but overall, the general idea of trusting yourself and my voice is the main goal.

If there are certain balancing poses you would like to see during this class, please leave a comment or send me an e-mail. I'll be sure to incorporate them in class. As always, I look forward to seeing you all again!

My comments to this class are below. Feel free to drop me a note!

Thank you so much for hanging in there guys and gals! This was "one of the top three hardest classes ever" as quoted by a fellow participant (no names - ha ha), and I can really see the dedication, commitment, and drive you all put into this class.

I understand it was a more challenging class than other weeks, but I only teach certain poses knowing that you can all do it, or at least know that one day you will achieve it. So please, don't be discouraged if you found certain poses/sequences difficult tonight, because as I say over and over, "with time, it will come"!

The temperature in the room was sky high and quite humid, and I never turned the heat up. Let me know what you guys thought of the heat - perhaps next time, we can crack the door open for some fresh air. Also, I would be curious to know what you all thought of tonight's class after it has soaked in, particularly tomorrow. Drop a comment, send an e-mail, let me know how your body feels the night after or even the day after this class. Afterall, yoga is all about becoming more aware of our bodies, right?

If you have suggestions for next week's class or even this Sunday's class, please let me know. It will certainly help with the planning.

As always, thanks for your support and enthusiasm! It really gives me the energy to make this the best class for you all.
